This can be comforting news for the country who is battling against the COVID-19 pandemic.
All 13 suspects who were corona-positive have been discharged after their report was negative in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. These were exposed to the virus after coming in contact with a corona-infected patient.
All of them were in contact with Mukesh Aggarwal, a businessman who owns Suhagan Jewelry or in contact with other employees of the store. Once they tested negative, they were discharged from the hospital. Yet everyone was given instructions for home quarantine for 7 days.
In the meantime, a suspect was sent to Victoria District Hospital and his sample was taken. The authorities are making sure that the samples of all infected patients admitted to the hospital and checked twice in 48 hours. And the patient is discharged from the hospital, only if both test reports are negative.
But, how come we have no corona positive case in Jabalpur when the whole nation is battling to contain the disease? Well, the District Administration has taken several steps to ensure this. Some of these steps are:
Identification of potential Hotspots
The Jabalpur administration is still working day and night even after they have no confirmed cases. The administration is now taking samples of the corona suspects. In addition, a 100-meter radius of the area of the infected is identified and a signboard is placed.
Focus on Rural Areas
In order to prevent infection, the District Administration keeps a close watch on the workers coming from outside in rural areas and the congested areas of the city. Random samples are prepared to be taken to detect the danger of community infection. The 3-kilometer area around the corona positive and even houses of the suspects are being sealed. Thereby, preventing the infection of coronavirus.
Coronavirus Affected Area Boundary Board
After identifying the hotspots, a signboard of Coronavirus (COVID-19) Affected Area boundary is installed here. The Board reads that going ahead is completely prohibited, as per the orders of the District Collector.
When this was first installed, local people questioned. In response to this, the officials answered that the employee of the corona infected, Mukesh Aggarwal lives here. Because of this, this area is prohibited.
No-entry for Tablighi Jamaat
In view of the rising number of corona positives of Tablighi Jamaat Markaz in Delhi, Jabalpur SP carried out checking operation with the help of all local police stations. Confidential information was also collected from all the landmarks along with other tourist sites. However, no record was found. This means that the people of the Tablighi Jamaat have not been able to enter Jabalpur. This news is really comforting to the people of the city.
